Job summary

Lyft is seeking a Test Automation Intern for Summer 2027 in Montreal. You will collaborate with engineers to build and mature test automation tools, improving product quality and user trust. The role emphasizes reliability, code quality, and fast feedback through CI/CD pipelines.

You should be pursuing CS in Canada, able to graduate between Dec 2027 and Summer 2028, and have strong CS fundamentals, communication, and a passion for learning and open-source contributions.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science from a university in Canada (required), with a graduation date between December 2027 and Summer 2028 (required).
• Available during Summer 2027 for the internship in Montreal.
• Experience with or a strong desire to learn and use cutting-edge AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own your project, while checking in with other team members throughout the day with questions and updates.
• You leave the code in a better state than when you found it (progressive refactor).
• You value reliability, ensured by testing (unit, integration and load tests).
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge.
• Continuous integration and deployment.
• Contribute to improving Lyft’s test automation and product quality.

Experience:

For any candidates who are master's students who worked between their bachelor's and master's programs: candidates should also have less than 2 years of relevant full‑time work experience

The expected base pay range for this position in the Montreal area is $34-$36/hour CAD. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
