Summary

Lifemark Health Group is seeking a Software Development Manager to join our dynamic Application Services Team. This is a full-time permanent opportunity reporting to the Vice President of Applications and Security Services. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining a variety of applications to support Lifemark’s national operations.

You will lead a large team of developers while overseeing the full application lifecycle, ensuring best practices are followed and solutions are scalable, secure, and user-focused. You will play a key role in architecting and optimizing systems, collaborating across departments, and managing vendors, technical design, and integrations.

Your Success Measures:

1. Strategic Leadership: Manage the development and maintenance of Lifemark’s websites and enterprise applications, providing technical leadership, oversight, and execution.
2. Team Management: Effectively plan, organize, prioritize, and delegate work assignments; oversee team results for quality, timely delivery, and adherence to policies and procedures.
3. Architecture & Development: Provide guidance on application architecture, UI/UX, database design, and system integration with back-end applications.
4. Project Execution: Lead and support concurrent initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, schedules, and quality standards.
5. Vendor Collaboration: Manage relationships with third-party agencies and technology vendors to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
6. Continuous Improvement: Research and evaluate emerging technologies to meet business needs and continuously enhance development practices and tools.
7. Cross-Functional Engagement: Build strong relationships across departments to align technology solutions with business objectives and ensure operational efficiency.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in software/application development (with leadership experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, development methodologies, and system architecture
• Proficient in .NET development and relational database technologies
• Proven cloud experience (Azure preferred)
• Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects in parallel
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to establish and meet project schedules
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional matrix teams
• Exceptional project and account management skills
• Up to date with industry trends and development best practices
• A collaborative mindset and proven team leadership experience
• Passionate about delivering high-quality software and continuous improvement
