Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Software Development Manager to define and lead the technical vision and architecture of digital and AI initiatives across the enterprise, supporting modernization and efficiency. You will design solutions with business teams, establish standards for development, testing, deployment, and security, while mentoring talent and driving continuous improvement.

• Master’s degree in CS, software engineering, aerospace or related field.
• 8+ years in software development with 3+ years in leadership/management.
• Experience delivering software from concept to production with SDLC, Agile, DevOps.
• Design architectures for cloud, data platforms, AI/ML, or digital manufacturing.
• Proficiency with Azure, APIs, microservices, data pipelines and AI frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; fluent in French and English.

• Design and deliver technology solutions in collaboration with business teams, translating operational needs into robust and scalable technical solutions.

How to thrive in this role?

• You possess a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• You possess 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• You have proven experience delivering software solutions from concept through production and ongoing support, with strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• You have experience designing architectures for cloud, integration, data platforms, AI/ML, or digital manufacturing (aerospace experience is an asset).
• You master tools and technologies relevant to architecture (e.g., Azure, APIs, microservices, data pipelines, AI frameworks, enterprise integration platforms).
• You demonstrate excellent analytical and communication skills; you easily synthesize complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• You can communicate in both French and English, written and spoken.
