Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead Digital Transformation initiatives across Operations, driving delivery from strategy to execution in a hybrid Canada-based role. You will act as Scrum Master for product teams, coordinate with product owners, technical teams and vendors, manage risks and delivery KPIs, and report to leadership.

A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in project management and Agile delivery, with fluency in English and French, are valued; PMP/PMI-ACP/PSM/CSM/SAFe

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in project management, agile delivery, or digital transformation roles.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, governance, risk management, and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and closure of Digital Transformation initiatives.
  • Translate priorities into actionable project plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Act as Scrum Master for selected digital product teams.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
  • Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to define scope and success criteria.
  • Coordinate solution design reviews, delivery plans, integrations, testing, deployment readiness, and operations transition.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks, issues, dependencies, scope changes, and mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with architects, cybersecurity, IT, data teams, vendors, and SMEs to remove blockers.
  • Define and monitor delivery KPIs: schedule, backlog health, velocity, risk exposure, and adoption readiness.
  • Provide concise reporting to leadership on progress, decisions, constraints, and actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery methods, templates, governance, and ways of working.

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Lead the planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and closure of Digital Transformation initiatives across Operations.

  • Act as the technical delivery lead by coordinating solution design reviews, technical delivery plans, integration points, environments, testing strategy, deployment activities, and operational readiness across internal and external delivery teams.
  • Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, scope changes, and mitigation plans.
  • Work closely with architects, cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise IT, data teams, vendors, and business SMEs to remove technical blockers, clarify ownership, manage interdependencies, and ensure solutions are delivered in line with enterprise standards.
  • Define and monitor delivery KPIs, including schedule adherence, backlog health, velocity, risk exposure, business value realization, and adoption readiness.
  • Provide concise reporting to leadership on project progress, decisions required, constraints, and recommended actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery methods, templates, governance practices, and team ways of working.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in project management, Agile delivery, Scrum Master, digital transformation, software delivery, or a related delivery role.
  • You have proven experience managing cross-functional projects involving business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and enterprise IT functions.
  • You have strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, project management methodologies, delivery governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • You have experience leading technical delivery activities, including solution design coordination, delivery planning, integration management, testing coordination, release readiness, and transition to operations.
  • You are comfortable managing project plans, backlogs, risks, issues, budgets, dependencies, and executive-level status reporting.
  • You demonstrate excellent communication, facilitation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • You are able to synthesize complex information into clear project updates, decisions, and recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • You have experience working in a manufacturing, aerospace, operations, or complex enterprise environment; experience in digital transformation is an asset.
  • You can communicate in both French and English, written and spoken.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, PSM, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent certification is considered an asset.
