Job summary

Pason Systems Corp. is seeking a Software Developer Intern for the DataHub team in a 16‑month internship from May 2027 to August 2028. The DataHub is a secure web app used by drilling engineers to manage operations in real time.

The role offers hybrid work, collaborating with product, QA, and UX teams to deliver high‑quality software. Responsibilities include agile development, requirements analysis, design, code reviews, and deployment automation, with exposure to AWS and SpringBoot.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 support and assist customers as needed.

Job description

Pason is seeking a Software Developer Intern for our DataHub team for a 16-month internship from May 2027 until August 2028. The DataHub is a highly secure web application used by drilling engineers and geologists to remotely manage their drilling operations in real-time. The DataHub team works across Pason’s web technology stack with a particular focus on delivering exceptional user experience while maintaining the DataHub’s high-availability and scalability. The DataHub team works both independently and in teams, and they take pride in their commitment to excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Become part of an agile development team using a variety of technologies to develop features and functionality for our core DataHub product
• Participate in all aspects of the software development and delivery processes, including defining requirements, system design, estimating, code reviews, unit tests, documentation, testing, deployment automation and monitoring tools
• Work with cool technology trends like Amazon Web Services and SpringBoot to help jumpstart your career
• Provide Tier 3 and customer support
• Perform root-cause analysis for field and lab issues involving Pason DataHub products
• Work with Product Management, Quality Assurance, and User Experience teams to deliver features and functionality that provide exceptional user experience

• This position allows the opportunity for an employee to work in a hybrid environment where a portion of their role is in the office and the other portion remote.

Education

• Currently enrolled in 3rd year studies in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related Program
