Job summary

Pason Systems Corp. is seeking a Software Developer Intern for our IWS team for a 16-month internship from May 2027 until August 2028.

The IWS team manages Pason’s completions software – an application which helps well completion operators perform their jobs more safely and efficiently. Our solution is deployed onsite (at the ‘edge’), utilizing IoT sensor/control equipment to automate complex valve management processes.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in 3rd year in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related Program.
• Experience with Python or C# and knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Linux OS and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Join an agile development team to develop features for our core product.
• Participate in requirements, design, estimation, code reviews, testing, and deployment automation.
• Work with Azure cloud technologies.
• Provide Tier 3 and customer support.
• Perform root-cause analysis for field and lab issues.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and UX teams to deliver a strong user experience.

Job description

Pason is seeking a Software Developer Intern for our IWS team for a 16-month internship from May 2027 until August 2028. Our solution is deployed onsite (at the ‘edge’), utilizing IoT sensor/control equipment to automate complex valve management processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Become part of an agile development team using a variety of technologies to develop features and functionality for our core product.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development and delivery processes, including defining requirements, system design, estimating, code reviews, unit tests, documentation, testing, deployment automation and monitoring tools
• Work with cloud technologies on the Azure platform.
• Provide Tier 3 and customer support
• Perform root-cause analysis for field and lab issues involving IWS products
• Work with Product Management, Quality Assurance, and User Experience teams to deliver features and functionality that provide exceptional user experience

• Experience with one OO language like Python & C#.
