Job summary

Pason is seeking a Software Developer Intern for our IWS team for a 16-month internship from May 2027 until August 2028. The IWS team manages Pason’s completions software – an application which helps well completion operators perform their jobs more safely and efficiently.

Our solution is deployed onsite (at the ‘edge’), utilizing IoT sensor/control equipment to automate complex valve management processes. You will join an agile team and contribute to frontend and backend work with Javascript,

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in 3rd year studies in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related Program.
• Experience with frontend technologies (JS/TS/Vue) and OO languages (Python/C#).
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and Linux OS; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an agile development team to build features for the core product.
• Develop frontend and backend components using the IWS stack (JavaScript, Vue, Python).
• Work with Azure cloud technologies and deployment pipelines.
• Provide Tier 3 and customer support; assist with root-cause analysis.

The Role

Pason is seeking a Software Developer Intern for our IWS team for a 16-month internship from May 2027 until August 2028. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Become part of an agile development team using a variety of technologies to develop features and functionality for our core product.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development and delivery processes, including defining requirements, system design, estimating, code reviews, unit tests, documentation, testing, deployment automation and monitoring tools
• Develop software for complex frontend and backend applications utilizing the IWS technology stack which includes Javascript, Vue and Python.
• Work with cloud technologies on the Azure platform.
• Provide Tier 3 and customer support
• Perform root-cause analysis for field and lab issues involving IWS products
• Work with Product Management, Quality Assurance, and User Experience teams to deliver features and functionality that provide exceptional user experience

• Experience with Front End Technologies like Javascript, Typescript and Vue.
• Experience with one OO language like Python & C#.
• Experience using SQL and NoSQL databases
