Job summary

Ross Video is seeking a Software Developer Co-op for the Winter term (January–April 2027). The position is hybrid remote with a part in Ottawa, Ontario, and pays $24–$35 per hour.

You will work on proofs of concept and potentially in-product software under the Vice President, Product Security and Ross Research Labs, located at our Ottawa Campus on Auriga Drive, with in-office presence 3 days a week. Applicants should be enrolled in Engineering/Computer Science programs, familiar with Linux,

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Linux, scripting and basic administration.
• Familiarity with Git, VSCode and JIRA in development environments.
• Experience with debuggers (gdb, valgrind) is helpful.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Current enrollment in an engineering/CS/related program.

Responsibilities

• Develop proofs of concept and potentially in-product software.
• Contribute to Catena and secure, cloud-scale interfaces.
• Collaborate with the Ross Research Labs leadership and teams.
