The Role

This role works as part of our enterprise healthcare development team in the design and coding of software applications. They will conduct requirement analysis, document technical specifications, and write, review, and debug code while working with more senior team members to continue building their technical and professional skills. Successful candidates will have strong analytical skills and a strong aptitude to acquire and apply new technical knowledge. The candidate should have some exposure to Java in an academic setting or professional experience. This CO-OP will be up to 40 hours per week and we are targeting an 8 or 12 month CO-OP period if possible.

Job Duties:

• Design, write, edit, modify, and debug basic computer programs
• Support their team in the delivery of work against the agreed upon definition of completion
• Prepare for, attend, and participate in all agile scrum meetings
• Demonstrate working software to stakeholders
• Participate in the production of quality software documentation and release notes
• Follow established processes, guidelines, and best practices for code and quality standards
• Perform code reviews of functional changes
• Design and write unit tests
• Work with Support to effectively diagnose field escalated issues and identify appropriate resolutions
• Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is groomed and prioritized
• Perform all other duties as assigned
