The Role

This position is part of our enterprise healthcare development team, focusing on designing and coding software applications. Responsibilities include requirement analysis, technical documentation, coding, reviewing, and debugging, while collaborating with senior team members to develop technical skills. Candidates should have some exposure to Java through academic or professional experience.

Job Duties

• Design, write, edit, modify, and debug basic computer programs
• Support team delivery against defined objectives
• Participate in agile scrum meetings
• Demonstrate working software to stakeholders
• Produce quality software documentation and release notes
• Follow established coding and quality standards
• Conduct code reviews
• Design and write unit tests
• Assist Support in diagnosing and resolving escalated issues
• Collaborate with the Product Owner on backlog grooming and prioritization
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years of professional development experience
• Working knowledge of Java
• Familiarity with database design, especially MySQL
• Experience writing efficient SQL queries
• Ability to write basic unit tests for functions/methods
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum practices
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
