Job summary

Richardson International is seeking a Software Developer to join its IT department and contribute to the development, enhancement, and support of applications across grain handling, crop inputs, and food processing businesses.

You will design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based web applications and back-end services, collaborating in an Agile Scrum team to meet business requirements and deliver robust software solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant software development experience.
• Experience with Java or C# and web applications, REST APIs.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.

Responsibilities

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about building high-quality software and thrive on taking ideas from conception through to delivery. In this role, you will contribute to the development, enhancement, and support of applications used across our grain handling, crop inputs, and food processing businesses.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy new functionality in our Java-based web applications and back-end services

The Following Would Be Considered Assets

• Experience with Spring Framework, Vue.js, PL/SQL, Python, Oracle or PostgreSQL databases
• Experience with CI/CD practices, automated testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments
• Experience using AI-assisted technologies such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar tools to support software development and delivery
