Job summary

Interac is hiring a Software Developer to join the RTR Exchange team in Canada. You will develop and maintain highly distributed, high-performance systems, build resilient microservices, and support operations with issue analysis and on-call rotation.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in software development, strong Java with Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure). Hybrid work and a competitive Total Rewards package are offered.

Qualifications

• A University degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years software development experience.
• Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
• Experience with REST API development and microservices architecture
• Experience in Java application development using Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate.
• Experience in relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Experience in cloud technologies like AWS or Azure.
• Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS.
• Experience in application security, authentication/authorization, secure coding.
• Experience with event-driven and messaging-based architectures.
• Experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular).
• Experience working in Agile development environments and full SDLC.

Who You Will Work With:

The vacant Software Developer role will report to the Leader, RTR Exchange.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining the company’s highly distributed, high-performance systems.

• Experience with event-driven and messaging-based architectures.
• Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular.
• Experience working in agile development environments and contributing to the full software delivery lifecycle.

The hiring range for this position is $115,000-$125,000, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac’s commitment goes beyond compensation.
