Fidelity Investments Canada is seeking a Software Developer for a 100% remote schedule under Fidelity's dynamic working arrangement. Candidates must have Canadian work authorization.

The role involves translating complex business problems into practical software solutions and maintaining internal applications. Requirements include a university degree in Computer Science and 1–2+ years of software development, with strong knowledge of Java, AngularJS, React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Spring Boot.

Qualifications

• University degree, preferably in the field of Computer Science.
• 1-2+ years of Software development experience.
• Strong understanding of Internet programming languages (Java, Angular JS, React, JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, XHTML, CSS, CSS3, jQuery, Spring, Spring Boot).

Responsibilities

• Define business requirements for every scrum/project and map out end-to-end solutions.
• Design, develop, enhance, modify and maintain application code and software solutions.
• Liaise with internal user groups to effectively program applications based on business and systems requirements.
• Ensure functional specifications can be implemented technically while developing and innovating creative solutions.
• Be an integral part of the Information System's team focused on development and support of internal facing applications.
• Work with peers and business partners to deliver high-quality projects and innovative solutions.

How You'll Make an Impact:

The Software Developer is responsible for having a strong aptitude for understanding complex business problems and translating their technical knowledge into practical, implementable solutions that will drive high impact business value.

They work closely with other team members to maintain internal applications and develop new products and services

This includes:

• Work with stakeholders, technology and agile project managers to define business requirements for every scrum / project and map out end-to-end solutions.

What We Are Looking For:

Job Description

• University degree, preferably in the field of Computer Science.
• Minimum 1-2+ years of Software development experience.
• Strong understanding of Internet programming languages (Java, Angular JS, React, JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, XHTML, CSS, CSS3, jQuery, Spring, Spring Boot).
• Good knowledge of SQL or other database platforms such as Oracle.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with CI/CD Pipelines and tools.
• Content Management System experience would be an asset, specifically Adobe Experience Manager.
• Prior Investment, Mutual Fund or Financial Industry experience is an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail with innovative problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while being in a team environment.
• Technical insight and experience to inform, guide, challenge and support technical decision.
• Commitment to continuously evolve skills and keep up to date with latest technology.

• Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus : A competitive annual range of $101,000 to $118,000 , based on your experience and qualifications.
