Motorola Solution’s Video Division is defining the future of the security industry through innovative end-to-end solutions. Job Description

As a Software Automation Engineer II, you are responsible for improving our development efficiency and product quality through a strong skill set and a great attitude towards software test automation. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Design, implement, and improve our test automation infrastructure’s reliability, scalability, performance, and repeatability of setup and deployment.
  2. Design and develop tools or simulators to facilitate testing for software and hardware products.
  3. Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for software and hardware products.
  4. Plan, design, document, and perform tests for software and hardware products.
  5. Identify, reproduce, and report actual or potential product defects, providing detailed configuration, reproduction steps, and descriptions for defect tracking, diagnostics, and resolution.
  6. Lead or assist other developers in diagnosing and replicating product failures.
  7. Create and maintain documentation on test and development operations.

You bring good applicable experience and a great skill set in software automation, working effectively within dedicated and passionate teams. Required experience includes:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
  2. Understanding of architectural and OO design patterns.
  3. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, source control management tools, and testing in Windows and Linux environments.
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation.
  5. Self-motivated, quick learner, team player.

Target Base Salary Range: $61,400 - $108,700 CAD. The actual offer will depend on individual experience, skills, and knowledge.
