Job summary

WCB-Alberta is seeking an IT Asset Coordinator III to lead software asset management initiatives, audits, and renewals. This role drives compliance, cost optimization, and governance across software and cloud licenses, reporting to IT leadership.

The position requires strong expertise in SAM, ITIL, and licensing concepts, with hybrid work options at Edmonton and Calgary locations. Final candidates undergo security clearance and align with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• University degree in IT, Business, or Computing Science or equivalent experience.
• Several years of software asset management experience focusing on software/SaaS licensing.
• ITIL v4 Foundation or higher; knowledge of ITAM/SAM standards (ISO 19770).
• CSAM or CITAM certifications are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for major Software Asset Management initiatives, including audits and renewals.
• Develop and refine Asset Management and Compliance processes.
• Lead SAM components of enterprise initiatives as SME.
• Produce dashboards and executive summaries on asset status and compliance risks.
• Coordinate annual software reconciliations and renewals and ensure license compliance.
• Serve as SME for external software audits and coordinate with vendors.
• Interpret licensing terms to support informed decision-making and cost optimization.
• Manage licensing and subscriptions for cloud platforms and AI solutions.
