Qualifications

• Minimum Master in Social Work (MSW) is required.
• Must be registered (or be eligible for registration), and a member in good standing, with the ACSW (Alberta College of Social Workers) and hold an active RSW in Alberta.
• Two or more years of post-MS W experience in the Social Work field
• Minimum of five years of experience working as a registered social worker
• Experience in reporting to Regulatory bodies and Government organizations.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum development, preparation and instruction in the classroom (could be virtual and/or in-person)
• Performing field supervision and practicum support
• Facilitation and review of clinical/work experience settings
• Continuous professional development to maintain currency in one’s discipline
• Incorporate teaching and learning strategies that support student success
• Student consultation and advisement
• Supervision and evaluation of students
• Ensure compliance with equity, diversity and inclusion policies and collective agreements
