Job description

About Saylor

Saylor is an LA-based creative agency for entertainment brands and brands who seek to entertain. We are an office filled with passionate people who love to work together to develop authentic, sharable content that inspires fans across the internet. We represent a wide range of clients including Tubi, Amazon Prime Video, Paramount+, Hilton, Sanrio, and more.

We’re a close-knit team of creatives who value collaboration, quality of work, innovation, and most importantly: being social. In the office, we aim to create a supportive environment where individuals are encouraged to work together to problem-solve for our clients.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a true digital native with deep ties to Canada — whether you’re based there, grew up there, or have a strong connection to Canadian culture — who “lives” on social media and stays on top of trends, memes, entertainment, and pop culture. While primarily supporting Canadian accounts, this role will also contribute to U.S. accounts. This person will bring a strong understanding of both markets and identify opportunities to adapt and cross-collaborate trends across audiences. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously.

This role will work directly with the Social team to ideate and create content across current and emerging social platforms. They will assist with content pitches and development, social listening, copywriting, publishing and community management.

This is a great opportunity to grow with a company! This role will primarily function at the intersection of social media strategy, community management, and content creation. Past that, we expect this individual to test and learn new skills as Saylor and the social landscape changes.

Location & Salary

This is a full-time, contracted role with a salary range of $55K-$75K USD, depending on experience. This contract will end at the end of January 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities
  • Deep knowledge of Canadian culture, entertainment, and social media conversations, with a strong understanding of what resonates with Canadian audiences
  • Posts assets across social channels accurately and on time
  • Writes captions, memes, and general copy for brand assets, as well as creative pitches that capture client’s attention and win approvals
  • Participates in brainstorms and contributes creative ideas for client pitches on a daily basis, including tracking trends, priority talent and titles, and campaign schedules.
  • Assists with scripting and creating social assets, pulling timecodes and sourcing images to create client-approved statics
  • Fosters community and engagement across platforms by executing on strategy, capturing tone-of-voice and utilizing engagement driving tactics
  • Supports accounts through weekly and monthly social reporting and performance analysis, identifying key trends, insights, and opportunities for future content and strategy
  • Collaborates with Sr. Social Media Manager, Social Media Manager, Content Creator and other Social Media Coordinators to ensure all efforts are aligned with brand strategy
  • Supports the Social teams by helping to execute strategies across multiple platforms and projects
  • Assists with building out content calendars for brands and campaigns

  • 1-2 years experience working on social campaigns and community management with a major brand, ideally at a creative agency

  • Interest and passion for entertainment
  • Love for popular culture, memes, and online trends
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability
  • A love and talent for smart/witty copy
  • Knowledge of social media best practices and current trends
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with publishing or social tools like Sprout Social
