Position SummaryThe Social Media Content Manager is responsible for agile creative and production development to support the execution of always-on organic social media across top social platforms for a dedicated energy & retail client. The Social Media Content Manager is passionate about engaging with consumers online through powerful, smart, and on-trend creative, paired with timely and on-brand community engagement.
Job Duties- Support client in building the brand presence on all social media platforms through organic content creation & community management including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Plan, develop, and coordinate approval of the always-on organic creative by social platform for monthly and real-time moments; Instagram and TikTok are priority channels.
- Manage daily responses to all consumer commentary and proactively engage with users across all active social platforms in a timely manner; includes developing in-the-moment creative and posting opportunities.
- Lead updates of community management response documents in line with brand objectives, priorities, and tone of voice.
- Lead initiatives for surprise and delight campaigns and contests with online communities, including project management, winner selection, and fulfillment.
- Contribute insights from the community towards monthly and quarterly social media strategies to increase engagement.
- Support ad-hoc requests such as paid social media copywriting and sourcing industry research.
- Assist with meeting coordination, including building agendas, scheduling, and preparation.
- Identify and track trends to maintain ongoing understanding of channels, retail trade, relevant industries, and consumer lifestyles.
- Serve as a brand ambassador to internal and external stakeholders.
Job Qualifications- Minimum 2+ years in digital, social media, public relations, and/or advertising across B2B and B2C companies, with a focus on Energy/CPG.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Writing strongly preferred (a combination of education and experience can be substituted).
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different brand tones and styles.
- Proficient in creating high-impact social media content, including graphic design, photography, and short videos/GIFs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, capable of delivering high-quality creative work, learning quickly, and managing deadlines.
- Deep knowledge of and passion for monitoring online communities and best practices.
- Ability to review, analyze, and derive insights from social media communities.
- Good understanding of major social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, and Snapchat, and how to measure content performance.
- Stay current with emerging social and content marketing trends.
- Solution-oriented with a strategic and collaborative mindset.
- Results-driven, responsible, and accountable.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, including external agencies.
- Proficient in creative tools like Photoshop and Canva.
