Job Description
Reporting to the Marketing, Branding and Communications Manager, the Social Media & Content Coordinator will develop engaging social media content and provide general marketing support. This is a temporary contract position critical to ensuring our online platforms remain dynamic, professional, and inspiring. If you’re passionate about creating compelling written and multimedia content, have a knack for social media strategy, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!
What Will You Do
Content Creation
- Write, edit, and proofread engaging content and social media posts tailored to platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and our websites.
- Create visually appealing multimedia content, such as graphics, short videos, and animations, using the tools of your choice.
- Develop industry-related and audience-targeted content, such as behind-the-scenes and product features.
Social Media Management
- Plan, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms.
- Monitor engagement and respond to comments or inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
General Marketing Support
- Assist in coordinating with external agencies or freelancers for additional marketing needs.
- Handle timely branding requests, ensuring all materials align with Nova Steel’s brand guidelines.
- Support the marketing lead with the execution of campaigns, providing creative input and logistical assistance.
Analytics and Strategy
- Collaborate in the creation of the monthly marketing report intended for executive audience.
- Track social media performance metrics and adjust content strategies to optimize engagement.
- Collaborate with the marketing lead to align content with Nova Steel’s branding, tone, values and overall revenue growth objectives.
- Work closely with internal teams to gather content ideas and stay informed about company updates.
- Liaise with external vendors or freelancers if additional creative support is required.
Qualifications
What You Need
- Must be bilingual French / English – Spanish is an asset
Must-Have Skills
- Proven experience in social media content creation, including both written and multimedia content.
- Excellent writing skills with a strong eye for detail and grammar.
- Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop).
- Ability to analyze metrics and adapt strategies to improve engagement.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of the steel manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Experience working with B2B brands and / or industrial products.
- Understanding of SEO principles and how they apply to social media.
Skills and Competencies
- Creative team player who can work autonomously, with great interpersonal and time management skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and branding alignment – visual and written content.
- Demonstrates active listening, agility and drives change while creating a sense of belonging.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design principles, proportions and image treatment.
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliver projects on time.
- Working knowledge of Digital marketing tools : SEO Optimization, Social Media management, Content Creation and Management, Marketing Automation, Ad Management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint).
