Job summary

The Loader / Snowcat Operators at Whitewater Mountain Resort operate Prinoth Snowcats and related grooming attachments to prepare and maintain the resort runs in a safe, professional condition.

Applicants should be comfortable working independently in winter conditions, nights, weekends, and holidays, and have a valid driver's license; prior snowcat or heavy equipment experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license Class 5.
• Four-wheel drive vehicle with winter tires.
• Experience operating a snowcat is an asset.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is an asset.
• Ability to ski or board is an asset.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Snowcat and implements to groom runs and maintain course contours.
• Maintain safe ingress/egress for resort facilities and access roads.
• Perform daily maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Report safety issues to supervisor and mechanics.
• Collaborate with team to coordinate grooming and communicate slope conditions.
• Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
