Job summary

Lake Louise Ski Resort in Lake Louise, AB is seeking a Grooming - Snow Cat Operator for the winter season. You will operate Prinoth Snow cats to create and maintain high-quality ski run surfaces for guests, with the chance to advance in a year-round operation.

The role requires prior seasons of snow cat work, physical fitness, and a valid Alberta driver’s license. Evening and night shifts and a 5-on/2-off schedule are noted in the posting.

Qualifications

  • Two or more seasons as a Snow Cat Operator required.
  • Winch Cat experience is an asset.
  • Park grooming experience is an asset.
  • Self-motivated, able to work in a team or independently.
  • Excellent physical condition; heavy lifting and manual labor may be required.
  • Knowledge of Lake Louise Ski Area is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain ski run surfaces using Prinoth Snow cats.
  • Transport supplies to and from lodges and other locations.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform minor cat repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform safety/pre-start-up checks on equipment.
  • Monitor gauges and equipment at all times.
  • Report defects, accidents, or damage to equipment.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Grooming Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be required to safely operate grooming equipment and carry out tasks that lead to superb skiing and riding products for the guests of the Lake Louise Ski Resort.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain ski run surfaces through the safe and effective operating of Prinoth Snow cats
  • Transport supplies to and from lodges and other locations with boxes and barge trailers
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other minor cat repair and maintenance work
  • Performing safety/pre-start-up checks on equipment
  • Monitoring gauges/equipment at all times

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Two or more previous seasons as a Snow Cat Operator required
  • Previous Winch Cat experience an asset
  • Previous Park grooming experience an asset
