Clintar Winnipeg is hiring a Snow Removal Lead for the winter season to manage an on-call ice and snow team. The role focuses on de-icing and clearing designated areas, often overnight, with shifts during winter conditions and short-notice calls.

Applicants must be available November through April, be able to lift 50 pounds, and operate snow removal equipment safely. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for coordinating with supervisors and customers.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years experience as a snow removal crew lead or any type of leadership position.
• Must possess a cellphone with data.
• From November – April, must be available on short notice and on-call depending on weather conditions and storms.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Familiarity with sidewalk tractors.
• Proficiency in operating snow removal equipment safely.
• Experience being a supervisor and managing a team.
• Good customer service skills are essential to handle inquiries and requests professionally.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliability and the ability to respond to emergencies or work during irregular hours, such as nights and weekends, may be required.

• Apply salt or other de-icing agents to surfaces to prevent ice formation and improve safety.
• Operate heavy machinery such as snowplows, front-end loaders, or snowblowers proficiently and safely.
• Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, such as heavy snowfall during the night, to ensure safety and accessibility.
