Job summary

Erosion Control Central Ltd. (ECC) is seeking hardworking Snow Removal Labourers for the upcoming winter season in Edmonton. Join a family-owned Alberta company with 25+ years of experience and contribute to safe, reliable snow clearing for sidewalks, walkways, transit centres, and designated areas.

You’ll operate walk-behind snow sweepers and snow blowers, apply ice control materials, and work with a team to respond to weather events, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in snow removal or general labour is an asset.
• Capable of outdoor work in cold winter conditions.
• Reliable transportation to meeting locations or worksites.
• Flexible hours and ability to respond to changing weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate snow removal equipment.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence is an asset.
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual snow removal on sidewalks, walkways, transit centres, and other designated areas.
• Operate walk-behind snow sweepers, snow blowers, and other snow removal equipment.
• Shovel snow and clear areas inaccessible to larger equipment.
• Apply ice control materials as required.
• Work alongside equipment operators to ensure efficient and thorough snow clearing.
• Maintain equipment and complete basic daily inspections.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Respond to snow events, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual snow removal on sidewalks, walkways, transit centres, and other designated areas.
