Job summary

Facility Care is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for snow removal across GTA client sites. You will operate wheel loaders and perform essential plowing, salting, and route execution during winter events, staying on-call 24/7.

Ideal candidates bring proven heavy equipment experience, a valid G license (DZ/AZ a plus), and the ability to work in harsh winter conditions, with reliability and safety as top priorities. Contract runs Nov 16, 2026–Mar 28, 2027.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a snow removal or similar environment.
  • Must be available 24/7 during winter season, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physically fit and able to work in extreme winter conditions.
  • Able to read site maps and follow dispatch systems.
  • Comfortable working independently and under time pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Be on-call 24/7 and respond quickly during snow events (within 60 minutes).
  • Safely operate loaders or skid steers with plows, wing blades, or salt spreaders.
  • Follow site maps and complete routes accurately and on time.
  • Perform equipment checks, fueling, and basic maintenance.
  • Communicate with supervisors and work as part of a team.
  • Follow all safety standards and wear PPE.

Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator – Snow Removal


Pay: up to $70/hr (no standby) OR up to $40/hr + $300/week standby
Contract:Nov 16, 2026 – Mar 28, 2027
Location:Various GTA client sites


We’re looking for experienced Loader Operators to join our winter snow removal team. You’ll operate a wheel NEW and clean wheel loader to clear parking lots and laneways at large client sites. Reliability, safety, and strong equipment skills are essential — an in-person interview and drive test is required.


What You’ll Do


  • Be on-call 24/7 and respond quickly (within 60 minutes) during snow events

  • Safely operate loaders or skid steers with plows, wing blades, or salt spreaders

  • Follow site maps and complete routes accurately and on time

  • Perform equipment checks, fueling, and basic maintenance

  • Communicate with supervisors and work as part of a team

  • Follow all safety standards and wear PPE
