Job summary

Tech Digital is a manufacturer of audio and video infrastructure equipment for the television broadcast and film industry. We are seeking an SMT Operator for a 7:00 am – 3:30 pm shift, Monday through Friday. You will run SMT line equipment, set up machines, tape and reel components, and verify board assemblies prior to reflow.

Maintain equipment, meet targets, and adhere to safety and quality standards. The role requires a grade 12 education, at least 2 years on SMT lines, good communication,

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience operating SMT line equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
  • Able to read component values and determine polarity of surface mount components.
  • General knowledge of electronic components and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in a production environment or with similar equipment.
  • WHMIS trained and compliant with safety procedures.

SMT Operator – 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday through Friday


Responsibilities:


  • Running SMT line equipment

  • Machine/feeder setup

  • Part taping and reeling

  • Verifying board assembly prior to reflow

  • Daily maintenance of SMT equipment

  • Meeting Manufacturing and quality targets

  • Compliance with all Tech Digital Policies and Procedures

  • Maintenance and Cleanliness of workplace

  • Perform other tasks as required


Requirements:


  • Grade 12 graduate

  • Minimum 2 years experience in SMT Line Operation

  • Ability to communicate effectively ( written and verbal)

  • Able to read values and correct polarity of Surface Mount components

  • General knowledge of Electronic components and manufacturing processes

  • Experience working in a Production environment or working with similar equipment

  • WHMIS Training


Health and Safety:


  • Abide by and promote all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations

  • Adhere to established quality and housekeeping standards
