Job summary

Evertz Microsystems Limited is seeking an SMT Inspector/Repairer for a 7:00 am–3:30 pm Monday through Friday shift. The role focuses on precise hand soldering, SMT component inspection, and rework to meet BOM specifications.

Strong reading of drawings and effective communication are essential. Ideal candidates have at least five years of hands-on soldering experience in a production setting, with attention to detail and knowledge of polarity for surface-mount parts.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education required.
• Minimum 5 years of hand soldering and component assembly experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Able to read drawings, identify values and polarity of surface-mount components.
• General knowledge of electronic components and manufacturing processes.
• Experience working in a production environment or with similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Solder and repair/rework SMT components to standard.
• Meet manufacturing and quality targets.

SMT Inspector/Repairer – 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

• Ensure parts and location are installed on the board as per the BOM.
• Solder and repair/rework of SMT components.
• Meeting manufacturing and quality targets.
• Compliance with all Tech Digital Policies and Procedures.
• Maintenance and cleanliness of workplace.
• Perform other tasks as required.

Requirements

• Grade 12 graduate.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in hand soldering and assembly.
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
• Able to read drawings, values and correct polarity of surface‑mount components.
• General knowledge of electronic components and manufacturing processes.
• Experience working in a production environment or with similar equipment.
