Job summary

Evertz in Markham is seeking a SMT Inspector/Repairer to support manufacturing of audio and video infrastructure equipment. Working 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday–Friday, you will inspect boards, solder, repair/rework SMT components, and ensure alignment with BOM and quality targets.

Applicants should be Grade 12 graduates with at least 5 years of hand soldering and assembly experience, strong communication, and the ability to read drawings and polarity of components in a production setting.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years in hand soldering and SMT assembly.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read drawings, values and correct polarity of surface mount components.
• General knowledge of electronic components and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in a production environment or with similar equipment.

SMT Inspector/Repairer (7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday‑Friday)

Responsibilities

• Ensure the parts and the location are installed in the board are as per the BOM
• Solder and repair/rework of SMT components
• Meeting manufacturing and quality targets
• Compliance with all Tech Digital Policies and Procedures
• Maintenance and Cleanliness of workplace
• Perform other tasks as required

Qualifications

• Grade 12 graduate
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in hand soldering and assembly
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
