SmartWorks is seeking a Project Manager to join their team. The Project Manager is responsible for driving customer projects forward to achieve milestones and manage project scope while ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction. The Project Manager is responsible for managing project resource assignments, project profitability, timely realization of revenue, and ensuring that both they and consultants maintain an expected level of billable utilization. Finally, the Project Manager will work closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to improve the consistency, predictability, and efficiency of the organization's project delivery capability.

As a Project Manager, you may be required to travel throughout North America approximately 25% of the year when safe and appropriate to do so. When not traveling, you will be able to work remotely from home or from our corporate headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario.

Job Responsibilities

1. Work closely with the Customer Project Manager to ensure successful completion of the software implementation project.
2. Develop, negotiate, and finalize Statements of Work to ensure efficient delivery of SmartWorks solutions for new and existing customers.
3. Manage client expectations and ensure delivery of high-quality service.
4. Oversee execution of multiple solution implementation work streams; and at times, run parts of the execution.
5. Conduct client kick-off meetings, customer functionality workshops, and regular status update meetings.
6. Create project deliverables, including acceptance criteria, training plans, testing plans, and change requests.
7. Provide mentoring to team members and contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the Project Management Methodology.
8. Conduct post-implementation reviews to measure results and capture lessons learned for continuous process improvement.
9. Report project forecasts and financials to senior management regularly.
10. Perform project administration tasks such as expense approval, project timesheet review, project updates, and invoice processing.
11. Interface with other departments and third-party vendors.
