As a Small Business Commercial Insurance Advisor, you will interact with commercial clients, maintain professional relationships with new and existing clients and insurers, and manage an entire book of business. Your responsibilities include reviewing and preparing client files, leading marketing efforts, and evaluating and pricing risks.

A day in the life -

  • Provide exceptional client care as the primary contact
  • Respond to client requests, compile information, and submit to insurance companies, binding coverage when appropriate
  • Participate in formal account reviews, assist in account rounding, and provide value-added services
  • Prepare submissions in Policy Works and EPIC
  • Draft proposals, cover notes, correspondence, certificates, and invoices
  • Assist Account Teams with administrative tasks
  • Prioritize tasks daily, including mail, emails, and activities
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical files
  • Manage account marketing, including new, renewal, and midterm changes
  • Gather data, create submissions, negotiate rates, and bind coverage
  • Provide training and guidance to new Insurance Advisors
  • Perform other duties as needed

Salary Expectations –

The compensation structure is variable, including a base salary plus commissions. The expected base salary ranges from $50,000.00 to $70,000.00, with additional commissions based on sales performance. Total earnings depend on skills, experience, location, and business line.
