As a Small Business Commercial Insurance Advisor, you will interact with clients, maintain professional relationships, and manage a book of business. Your responsibilities include reviewing client files, marketing, evaluating and pricing risks, and supporting account management.

A day in the life

• Provide exceptional client care as the primary contact
• Respond to client requests, compile information, and coordinate with insurers to bind coverage
• Participate in account reviews and add value through account rounding
• Prepare submissions in Policy Works and EPIC
• Handle proposals, correspondence, certificates, and invoices
• Assist with administrative tasks and maintain accurate files
• Manage marketing efforts for accounts, including renewals and midterm changes
• Collect data, prepare submissions, negotiate rates, and bind coverage
• Train and guide new team members
• Perform other duties as needed

What you will bring

• Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
• Up to ten years of commercial insurance experience
• Level 2 insurance license
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused
• Experience with commercial bonding and marketing
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Salary Expectations

The position offers a variable compensation structure, with a base salary of $50,000 to $70,000 plus commissions. Total earnings depend on your book of business, skills, experience, and location. Benefits include health, disability, RRSP matching, paid time off, and bonuses.
