The Slot Attendant role places you in the heart of the action and is ideal for those who enjoy interacting with the public and providing next‑level support to guests playing the slot machines.

Position at Starlight Casino

Job Type: Casual

Hourly Wage: $18.60/hr

In this role, you provide vital front‑line customer support that includes observing slot players and machines in specific areas, offering instruction, and answering questions to ensure guests have a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with awareness of and excitement for on‑going and up‑coming casino promotions.
• Manage slot machine reservations and promote casino initiatives.
• Work in compliance with internal controls, company policies and procedures and/or provincial lottery/gaming policies.
• Manage a cash float, verify and provide jackpot payouts and monetary change to guests.
• Report any violations and escape to the appropriate level as necessary.
• Replenish and maintain slot machines, monitor machine stack lights to ensure prompt service.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of all slot operation policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs.

What You Bring

• Experience handling cash and working with the public.
• Superior customer service skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of slot machine functions is an asset.
• Able to stand for long periods of time and pull, lift, and carry objects weighted similar to a full box of paper.
• Serving It Right (BC).
• The ability to obtain registration with BCLC.
• Ability to multi‑task and thrive in a team environment.
• A willingness to develop new skills and stay on top of the latest industry news and insights.
