Newcomer Women's Services Toronto is seeking a skilled and motivated Skills Training Counselor to support the Build HER Future project, an initiative dedicated to advancing women's participation and success in the construction industry through credentialing, mentorship, skills development and hands‑on experience.
The Skills Training Counselor will work closely with job seekers to assess, coordinate and facilitate their skills development journeys, with a strong focus on credential recognition and sector‑specific training. This role requires someone with a deep understanding of foreign credential recognition processes and the ability to support clients through complex application systems and educational equivalency procedures. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about the construction industry and has experience working with underrepresented groups facing employment barriers.
