Job summary

French Brothers Roofing (Belleville) Inc. seeks skilled roofing technicians for work across the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario. The role covers repair, replacement, and installation of single-ply and built-up roofing systems, plus metal roofs, shingles and coatings.

Extensive safety training and WHMIS-compliant procedures are required. The position is full-time with benefits in accordance with the Union Provincial Collective Agreement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in roofing.
• WHMIS certificate required.
• Working at Heights training required.
• Propane in Roofing certificate required.
• Personal Lift Platforms certificate required.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate required.
• PPE Requirements certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Repair, replace or install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials.
• Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems with asphalt felts, hot asphalt and gravel.
• Install and repair shingles, shakes and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs.
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
• Pour hot asphalt and tar and detect leaks.
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or masonry surfaces.
• Clean and maintain equipment and set up scaffolding as required.
