Nutreco’s Trouw Nutrition in St Marys, ON seeks a Skilled Operator to help produce feed in a safe, compliant manufacturing environment. You will handle paperwork, operate the production line, and assist with loading/unloading ingredients for customer orders on a rotating 12-hour schedule.

The role requires adapting to shift rotations, lifting up to 25 kg, and potential heights work. Forklift experience is an asset, with opportunities to grow within a global leader in animal nutrition.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Feed Mill or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Able to lift 25 kg and frequently bend/twist.
• Forklift driving experience is an asset.
• Able to work well in a team or independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Complete paperwork for tasks and maintain documentation for Food Safety and quality standards.
• Follow manufacturing practices and safety policies.
• Load bulk trucks and manage unloading/receiving ingredients and shipping products per orders.
• Perform preventive and sanitary maintenance to meet quality requirements of ingredients.
• Operate the production line.
• Stay productive and perform other duties as required.

What you’ll do

• Complete all paperwork required for assigned tasks ensuring proper documentation for Food Safety and follow quality standards
• Ability to follow strict manufacturing practices and safety policies
• Load bulk trucks: Unload and receive the ingredients; Accurately and efficiently ship products ordered by customers
• Perform the tasks related to the preventive and sanitary maintenance of the plant and ensure that the quality control requirements of the ingredients are met at all times
• Operate the production line
• Endeavors to be productive at all times; Other duties as required.

Who we’re looking for

• Experience working in a Feed Mill or manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability and availability to work rotational shifts and overtime as required
• Positive work attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. Willingness to learn
• Ability to work with a team but also self-motivated to be able to work independently with minimal supervision

You’ll also need

• Rotation weekly 6:30 pm - 7 am; 6:30 am - 7 pm
• Must be able to lift 25kg; and ability to regularly bend and twist.
• Occasional requirement to work at heights
• Must possess a valid class 5 license
• Forklift driving experience (an asset).
