• Appearance must be neat, clean, and professional.
• Must have own vehicle and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Summary

Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Apprentice Carpenter / Skilled Labourer selected will be responsible for the quality control of all homes constructed in a the community, ensuring compliance with local building code and company safety policy. The Apprentice Carpenter / Skilled Labourer is also responsible for general site maintenance and clean‑up as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work in labour and apprentice carpentry scopes of work for residential and commercial construction.
• Assist in tasks such as housekeeping, quality management and safety of all buildings constructed in a project.
• Perform touch ups and repairs on sub‑trade deficiencies.
• Carpentry work that falls outside of the scope of work of subcontractors.
• Proficient knowledge and use of power tools such as air nailers, skill saw, screw gun.
• Support the Arbutus team as needed for the project lifecycle.
• Other tasks as required by the site foreman.

Requirements

• 2+ years of construction labour and/or carpentry experience.
• Experience in residential construction is an asset.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of how to use small tools and power tools.
• Highly organized, results‑oriented and able to work in a multi‑functional team environment.
