West Cirque Construction is seeking an experienced Skilled Labourer for a multifamily project in the Saskatoon region. You will support carpentry tasks, maintain quality, and ensure safety standards while coordinating with subtrades and the site team.

The role requires strong organizational skills, reliable vehicle and license, and the ability to work on a busy multifamily site. A team-focused environment and commitment to quality are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience in finish carpentry is an asset.
• Equipment operation experience is an asset (e.g., zoom boom / skid steer).
• Knowledge of building code and safety code requirements.
• Be organized, interpersonal and strong communicator with the ability to build excellent relationships with subtrades and workers on site.
• Candidate must have excellent time management skills, have the ability to prioritize work and be results driven.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong understanding of quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to building code and corporate safety requirements on all sites.
• Carpentry work that falls outside of the scope of work of subtrades.
• Oversight of subtrade work.
• Perform touch ups and repairs on subtrade deficiencies; perform frame checks and mechanical checks.
• Finish carpentry work.
• Quality management inspections and reporting.
• Report issues as they arise to the superintendent.
• Proficient knowledge and use of power tools such as air nailers, skill saw, screw gun.
• Mentor novice workers.
• Other tasks as required by the site foreman / site superintendent.

Summary

Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Construction Labourer selected will be responsible for the completion of carpentry work and quality management of a large multifamily build, ensuring the compliance with local building code and company safety policy. The Skilled Labourer is also responsible for general site maintenance and clean-up as needed.
