Job summary

North Ridge Development Corporation is seeking a Skilled Labourer to join our Saskatoon team. The role involves performing on-site construction tasks, assisting with carpentry, and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

You will coordinate with the site supervisor on material needs, provide input on deliveries, and help with finish work and site closeout tasks while upholding quality and safety standards in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Carpentry apprenticeship in at least second year or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience in construction industry including finishing aspects.
• Valid driver’s license, insurable by North Ridge.
• General knowledge of construction practices and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to do heavy lifting and work in extreme weather conditions (hot to cold).
• Must be a resident of Saskatchewan and legally able to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Complete construction/labour tasks in a timely manner as assigned by site supervisor.
• Advise site supervisor of material requirements on site and report overages for credit.
• Tidy work site and remove garbage to keep area clean.
• Protect work in place and delivered materials from damage.
• Maintain signage to keep it straight and in good order.
• Sweep, sand and prepare floors for laying.
• Install window wells; perform carpentry as required.
• Schedule deliveries of materials and handle pickup.
• Stack and band materials.
• Complete items on Quality Assurance list.
• Inspect homes after closeout and resolve issues where possible; coordinate subtrades as needed.
• Report safety incidents promptly and accurately.
• Resolve problems effectively and timely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

North Ridge Development Corporation, Saskatchewans leading home builder, is seeking a Skilled Labourer to join our Saskatoon team. This position is responsible for performing physical labour at the job site in a safe and efficient manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Complete construction/labour tasks, in a timely manner, as assigned by site supervisor
• Advise site supervisor of material requirements on site. Advise of material overages to return for credit
• Tidy work site and remove garbage to ensure it is clean
• Protect work in place and delivered materials from unnecessary damage
• Maintain signage, ensuring they are straight and in good order
• Sweep, sand and prepare floors for laying
• Install window wells
• Perform some carpentry work as required
• Pick up and schedule deliveries of materials
• Stacking and banding of materials
• Complete items identified on Quality Assurance list
• Conduct inspection of each completed home following North Ridges close out list. Where possible resolve issues on the spot (i.e. finishing, touch ups, minor subtrade deficiencies) otherwise coordinate subtrades to fix
• Report safety incidents in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve problems/issues in an effective and timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned.
