Job summary

The City of Greater Sudbury invites applicants to support Recreation Services through the design and delivery of skiing and snowboarding programs at Adanac Ski Hill. You will help ensure safety, learning, and participant engagement under the Recreation Coordinator.

This contract part-time role requires weekend/evening shifts, up to 48 hours bi-weekly, and involves maintaining records and following facility policies. A vulnerable sector check is required if chosen.

Qualifications

• Up to six (6) months of related experience in the designated program area.
• Education: Secondary school; CSIA/CASI Level I; CPR & First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Assist to develop, implement and evaluate a program that encourages safety and class participation and to deliver the program (e.g., Skiing, Snowboarding, etc.).
• Perform proper techniques to avoid injury.
• Provide support and leadership to all participants and instruct at the qualified level.
• Be attentive and alert to the regards of all participants in the program.
• Maintain a clean/safe activity space and ensure equipment is maintained and set up.
