Job summary

The City of Mission's Parks, Recreation & Culture Department is seeking a new seasonal skate patrol to work from September 2026 until approximately March 2027 at the Mission Leisure Centre arena. You will supervise public skating times and enforce safety rules to ensure a safe environment for skaters.

The ideal candidate will skate well for extended periods and remain calm and courteous in demanding situations. Minimum age 16, Grade 10, and Standard First Aid Level 1 required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and completed Grade 10.
• Standard First Aid Level 1 certification or recognized equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise public skating to ensure safety during arena times.
• Assist skaters and provide basic first aid if needed.
• Enforce safety rules and perform light janitorial duties.
