Job summary

The Corporation of the City of Sarnia is seeking a Skate Patrol to join our Recreation and Parkland Planning Services team. This part-time temporary role supports skate safety, assists skaters, and helps maintain a positive environment at our facilities in Sarnia.

The successful candidate must own skates and a helmet, and be able to work during evenings, weekends and holidays for the season. Strong teamwork, communication, and calm decision-making in emergencies are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have own skates and helmet.
• Ability to work for the duration of the season, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor skate activity to ensure safety rules.
• Provide assistance to skaters, including minor injuries guidance.
• Resolve conflicts among skaters professionally.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
