Job description

Company: Finning Canada

Number of Openings: 1

Worker Type: Permanent

Position Overview:

Do you understand the realities of a working jobsite-the coordination, competing priorities, and pressure to deliver results safely and efficiently? You've supported field operations, worked alongside crews, or been involved in project layout and execution. You understand what drives productivity, where inefficiencies create rework, and how better decisions on site impact cost, schedule, and safety.

That experience creates credibility with our customers. As a Technology Sales & Service Representative, you use your understanding of jobsite challenges to uncover opportunities, build relationships, and recommend technology solutions that improve productivity, accuracy, and safety. This is a customer-facing sales role for someone who can walk onto a jobsite, ask the right questions, and clearly articulate the value of technology in solving real-world construction challenges.

As a Technology Sales & Service Representative, you will turn your field experience into a career helping construction teams work safer and smarter. You will engage directly with contractors to introduce advanced grade control, safety, machine control, and positioning technologies that solve real‑world challenges where they matter most-on the jobsite. This is an outside sales role for someone who can walk onto a site, build immediate credibility, and guide customers toward technology solutions that make their operations more efficient, accurate, and productive.

Job Description:
What's in it for you
  • The opportunity to build a rewarding, technology‑focused career by applying your construction or surveying experience in a sales‑driven role
  • A position where your jobsite knowledge creates immediate credibility and trusted relationships with customers
  • Exposure to industry‑leading machine control and construction technology solutions

  • The ability to make a visible impact on customer productivity, safety, and profitability through technology adoption
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage territory expense budgets responsibly and effectively
  • Build strong, lasting customer relationships, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and thoroughly
  • Deliver accurate and timely sales forecasts to leadership
  • Identify market trends, competitive activity, and opportunities for growth
  • Gather customer feedback that supports product and service improvements
  • Work proactively toward company goals and contribute to overall team success
Education & Experience
  • Experience in the construction industry such as:
  • Heavy equipment operation (grader, dozer, excavator)
  • Site supervision or foreman responsibilities
  • Construction project coordination or project management
  • Surveying, layout, or field technician work
  • Preferred experience selling or supporting construction technology, surveying equipment, or machine control systems
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the construction, equipment, survey, or related industries
  • A diploma or degree in civil engineering technology, surveying, technical studies, or a related business field is an asset but not required
