Job summary

Acadian Construction is seeking a Site Superintendent to oversee daily on-site operations from project start to closeout. You will work closely with Project Managers, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role requires at least 5 years of commercial construction supervision experience, strong coordination skills, and the ability to read drawings. Travel across the Maritimes is expected as needed, with a focus on Atlantic Canada projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction site supervision.
• Based in/near the Greater Moncton region and willing to travel throughout the Maritimes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and construction reporting tools; Procore is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all on-site construction activities.
• Manage subcontractors, site crews, schedules, and daily workflow.
• Maintain project quality, safety, and productivity standards.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure work is executed correctly.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues to keep projects moving forward.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and site logistics.
• Communicate progress, risks, and site updates with Project Managers.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners.
• Lead project closeout activities, including deficiencies and final turnover.
