Job summary

Sealand Building Group is seeking a Site Superintendent to oversee multiple construction projects across Atlantic Canada. You will manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate trades, and ensure safety, schedule, and quality are maintained from greenfield developments to renovations.

The role emphasizes strong communication with project teams, clients, consultants, and suppliers, plus a commitment to LEAN practices and continuous improvement. Travel throughout Atlantic Canada is required.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of progressive construction industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience supervising commercial, industrial, or complex construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, site coordination, and project execution.
• Experience working with multiple trades and subcontractors in active construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day construction site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Coordinate trade contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules and sequencing plans.
• Ensure construction sites are safe, clean, and compliant with standards.

Role Description

As a Site Superintendent, you will play a critical role in overseeing the successful execution of various construction projects. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating trades and subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. Working across greenfield developments and renovation projects, you will leverage modern construction technology and industry best practices to optimize project delivery while fostering a positive and productive site culture.

Your Responsibilities will Include:

• Leading day-to-day construction site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule;
• Managing and coordinating trade contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel;
• Developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules and construction sequencing plans;
• Ensuring construction sites are safe, clean, organized, and operating in accordance with company and regulatory standards;
• Participating in site procurement activities and coordinating material deliveries to support project progress;
• Managing stakeholder relationships and maintaining clear communication with project teams, clients, and consultants;
• Utilizing construction technology platforms including Procore and SiteDocs to track progress, document activities, and support project reporting;
• Applying LEAN construction principles and continuous improvement practices to optimize project delivery and site performance;
• Monitoring quality control, site productivity, and project milestones while proactively addressing construction challenges and risks.

Your Qualifications

You bring a modern approach to site leadership, combining technical expertise with strong communication and organizational skills. Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and overseeing diverse project teams, you are passionate about safety, quality, and continuous improvement. • Ability and willingness to travel throughout Atlantic Canada and work on-site Monday through Friday;
• Valid driver's license and commitment to maintaining a safe, productive, and professional work environment.
