Job description

We are currently seeking an Assistant Site Superintendent to work on a project in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is a great opportunity to be mentored by a knowledgeable and experienced Site Superintendent so you can grow your construction supervisory skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting project planning and assisting with work sequencing to ensure efficient site operations
• Helping produce and maintain look‑ahead schedules, coordinating daily and weekly activities to keep the project on track
• Assisting in coordinating subcontractor work and participating in regular site meetings to support communication, timelines, and cost control
• Monitoring site manpower levels and reporting any gaps to ensure safety, schedule, and quality targets are met
• Supporting the implementation of the company safety program in collaboration with the Safety Director, and helping monitor subcontractor compliance
• Assisting with quality control inspections to ensure work meets project standards and specifications
• Maintaining accurate daily logs and assisting with job control documentation
• Building and maintaining positive working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technologist certification, or equivalent experience
