Job Description

What you are responsible for:

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Site Manager will supervise, direct and control site operations. The site must effectively meet safety, quality and production requirements. The Site Manager will plan the overall allocation of human, material and economic resources, and work with management to optimize and continuously improve processes.

Operations:
  1. Purchase ferrous and non-ferrous materials (working closely with buyers).
  2. Optimal management of site activities.
  3. Control and manage its assets.
Leadership:
  1. Manage, coach, motivate the work team and conduct performance appraisals.
  2. Ensures the smooth running of daily operations with managers and monitors the execution of all their activities.
Performance and Measurement Management:
  1. Monitors staff and reports on their results.
  2. Establish priorities, analyze performance gaps, identify business opportunities and see to the reduction of costs, using the tools available.
  3. Write any required reports for management.
  4. Work towards achieving the financial results budgeted.
  5. Control inventories and quality.
Customer Orientation:
  1. Promote and manage a client-oriented team.
  2. Be constantly on the lookout for new, innovative and value-added services that will improve or simplify processes.
  3. Ensure local marketing and meet the specific needs of the site's customers.
Continuous Improvement:
  1. Define, develop and implement improvements to operational processes, procedures and policies.
Other related tasks:
  1. Applies and enforces occupational health and safety regulations. Take the necessary steps to ensure the physical security of the premises.
Work Environment:
  1. Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  2. Exposure to dangerous materials.
  3. Refer to the Regional Director on a daily basis.
Qualifications

To join our team:
  1. You have three to five years' experience in a similar position, ideally in the metal industry.
  2. You have good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  3. You are bilingual in French and English.
