Job summary

Brenntag Canada Inc. is seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to supervise site activities and the operations team, ensuring safe, efficient chemical handling and timely delivery of quality products.

You will report to the General Manager and may oversee multiple roles across shifts and dispatch. The role requires 5+ years in chemical operations management, familiarity with regulatory requirements, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in chemical operations management.
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal regulations relating to chemical manufacturing/distribution.
  • Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and inspires an Operations Team to align with Brenntag's values and compliance standards.
  • Manages facility and manufacturing activities to meet business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Tracks site and project performance with KPIs and tools; drives continuous improvement from ideation to completion.
  • Ensures safety is the priority and operations comply with ISO and Responsible Distribution Canada registrations.

Purpose of position:To supervise operations employees and plant/site assets ensuring safe, efficient and effective chemical handling activities which conform with corporate and local policies, while ensuring timely delivery of quality product that meets customer requirements.Reporting Structure:This position reports directly to the General Manager.
