Job summary

GEF Seniors Housing – Facilities Management in Edmonton, AB seeks a facilities maintenance professional for central services. Responsibilities include drywall, HVAC related tasks, tracking work orders, and preventative maintenance across sites. Travel between GEF sites is required with mileage paid.

Applicants should have high school diploma, 5th Class Power Engineering is a plus, and a valid Class 5 license with a clean driver’s abstract. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general building maintenance (e.g., drywall repairs, zone valve replacements, thermostat maintenance)
• Track and complete work orders
• Assist Maintenance Technicians as required
• Contribute to project work
• Conduct preventative maintenance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience/Education Preference:

• Plumbing & HVAC Experience is desired.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous work experience in a similar occupation or applicable education is desired.
• 5th Class Power Engineering certificate is an asset.
• Must have valid Class 5 driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract.

Other Requirements:

• Strength in determining priorities with the need for flexibility.
• Ability to meet deadlines and respond calmly to stressful situations.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written is required.

Details:Full Time, Days, 37.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay Scale : $27.81 - $32.45 per hour

Location:Central Services, 14220 - 109 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T5N 4B3 (travel between other GEF sites is required, mileage paid).
