Job summary

Stantec seeks an Environmental Professional with strong project management and contaminated sites experience to lead site investigations, remediation projects, and regulatory compliance in British Columbia. You will guide teams, manage budgets, foster client relationships, and contribute to business development across BC offices.

Minimum 6 years on contaminated sites projects, university degree in Environmental Science/Geology/Hydrogeology/Engineering, and eligibility for professional

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with managing contaminated sites projects and project teams.
• Knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations, BC Contaminated Site Regulations, and CCME framework.
• Strong client management and communication skills.
• Understanding of contaminated site investigations and remediations.
• Experience mentoring junior field staff.
• Excellent technical report writing skills.
• Valid BC driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote health and safety culture within the team.
• Support clients across government, energy, transportation, natural resources, and other sectors.
• Manage Phase I–III ESAs, PSIs, DSIs, remediation projects and regulatory applications in BC.
• Lead proposals within the team, develop work plans, scopes, budgets, and subcontractor procurement.
• Provide technical direction, review deliverables, manage scope, staffing, budgets, and schedules.
• Mentor and train junior staff in the team.
• Participate in marketing and business development meetings with client accounts.
• Collaborate across disciplines and offices to guide practice direction.
• Work with leadership to shape practice strategy.
