Job summary

Stantec in British Columbia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead site investigation, remediation and risk assessment projects. You will manage Phase I–III ESAs, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and drive technical excellence while supporting business development.

A university degree in Environmental Science/Geology/Engineering and a professional designation eligibility are preferred; a valid BC driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing contaminated sites projects and project teams.
• Knowledge of BC Contaminated Site Regulations and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Strong client management and communication skills.
• Understanding of how to conduct contaminated site investigations and remediations.
• Mentor and train junior field staff.
• Strong verbal and written technical report writing.
• Possession of a valid BC driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Promote health and safety culture within the team.
• Support clients across government, energy, transportation, natural resources, and other sectors.
• Manage Phase I–III ESAs, Stage 1/2 PSIs, and DSIs; handle regulatory instrument applications.
• Lead proposals and projects within the Site Investigation, Remediation & Risk Assessment team; develop scopes and budgets.
• Provide technical direction on scope, staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and safety.
• Mentor junior team members and support their development.
• Participate in marketing and business development with client accounts.
• Collaborate across disciplines across Stantec Canada offices.
• Collaborate with leadership to steer the practice.
