Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Site/Field Coordinator to support field operations on the Surrey Langley SkyTrain project in Metro Vancouver. You will work with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and technical teams to ensure safe, efficient, and quality work in a complex multidisciplinary environment.

You will coordinate daily activities, inspect site work, review drawings, track materials, and prepare field reports.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of construction site coordination experience.
  • Experience on civil infrastructure, buildings, hospitals, industrial, transportation, or other complex construction projects.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from construction and shop drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction software.
  • Experience using Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, or Tekla.
  • Experience preparing quality reports, inspection documentation, or field reports.
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume construction site environment.
  • Exposure to quality control, field inspection, or surveying activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily construction activities with subcontractors, surveyors, inspectors, and project team members.
  • Perform site inspections to verify work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
  • Review and interpret shop drawings, construction drawings, and specifications to support field operations.
  • Track material requirements and coordinate deliveries to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs, quantity verification, and progress tracking.
  • Prepare daily reports, field documentation, and site records.
  • Identify and communicate deficiencies, including missing materials, quality concerns, or construction issues requiring resolution.
  • Support coordination between multiple disciplines, including concrete, rebar, formwork, structural steel, architectural finishes, and MEP trades.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to maintain schedules and ensure work progresses efficiently.

As a Site / Field Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting field operations across a complex and multidisciplinary construction environment. What You Will Do

This role could be for you if you have
  • 2+ years of construction experience in a site-based coordination, quality, inspection, field engineering, or construction operations role.
  • Experience working on civil infrastructure, buildings, hospitals, industrial, transportation, or other complex construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of concrete, rebar, formwork, structural steel, and construction sequencing.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from construction and shop drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common construction software.
  • Experience using Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, or Tekla.
  • Experience preparing quality reports, inspection documentation, or field reports.
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume construction site environment.
  • Exposure to quality control, field inspection, or surveying activities.
